American painter and sculptor Elisa Boughner has exhibited her work nationally. She lets her compositions reveal themselves as she paints, a process that remains, in her own words, a mystery. Drawn to objects that are realistic yet deliberately imperfect, she treats color as her primary emotional language. Her singular landscapes and still lifes are executed in oil on wood or synthetic board.
